I got accepted to The Manhattan School of Music Summer Voice Festival workshop!
so that meaaaaaaaans! 6 weeks in New York, to do haul videos, daily make up andddd clothesss. Yay exciting blog :) It also means I have to take my CAPE exams up there :( I know nothing in my exams, NOTHING.

Covering Fall with out covering The Crown Prince of Knitwear himself Alexander Wang? - Blasphemy !
Alexander Wang’s 2012 fall collection was basically an extension of his pre-fall collection incorporating as he explained “It’s this idea of shrink-wrap, lamination, covering up, lacquering.” As motifs.
Nearly every surface of the pieces appeared to be sleek, shiny and glossy.
The tweeds on coats, hooded jackets and even those to-die-for chunky wool sweaters seemed to have been slathered with some kind of lacquer. The leathers in this collection were full of seamless and glossy pieces, oh and those suede pants and coats with the waxed panels. 90% of the fabrics used were custom developed and this was clearly evident for the fabrics were unlike anything ever seen. Wang covered the clothes in lacquers and the models were fully clothed as well, mid - calf skirts paired with the soon to be infamous knee high boots, fishnet facial masked turtlenecks and button up coats.
Wang managed to better himself developing his style from what we are used to seeing from him into a more classy, mature presentation. Closing the show with queen of the catwalk Gisele Bündchen doesn’t hurt either.
I love Daphne I think her look is so fresh and she sees to be such a genuine person, I would love to meet her, then steal her legs and lips. ahah
Anna Sui Fall 2012 RTW NYFW -
Clothes:
CRAZYYY textiles and patterns, kooky hats with wonky eyes, bright tights.
Beauty:
sleek ponytails, ponytails with pompadours, azure extra dramatic winged liner, hand coloured azure dots stuck on the bottom lids right inline with the model’s pupils, Anna Sui’s own shade of blue nailpolish #103
Decade:
60’s
This collection as you can see was fun and quirky very much like Anna Sui herself.
Alice + Olivia 2012 Fall #RTW #NYFW
I have always loved Alice + Olivia even if the designs are a bit too polished for a girl of my age, but the classiness that this line projects is mouth watering.
Not known for floor length gowns but always bombarded with inquiries for something a bit longer was mostly the inspiration for this line, taking some of the most popular frocks and turning those already magnificent beauties into floor sweeping royalty still keeping some of shorter hem to add some dimension and drama.
This collection was full of colour, some inspired by David Bowie and his haphazard choice of clothing; seen in many of the pants suits especially the green and black striped one. Many of the new gowns seemed to have lost their impact though as they were a midst all of the other garments.
One strapless black and green dress was particularly magical but seemed just to be overwhelmed by the other pieces in the collection. Overall each piece in this collection is without a doubt gorgeous but as an overall collection there is hardly cohesiveness which is what created that underwhelming feeling for this collection.

So as you can see, tumblr has been playing the fool and I lost many of my posts on the Runways for 9th of February. I am shamefully behind time and I can do nothing about it cause I have rehearsals tonight also; so all of my blogging will be done on sunday. Hopefully.
this is exactly why I stay home when it’s Fashion Week, too much to do, sooo little time.
